PREPARATION OF SENIOR STUDENTS FOR CAREER CHOICE THROUGH TEACHING THE BASICS OF SCIENCE

Annotation. This article examines the pedagogical, social, and psychological aspects of preparing senior students for career choice through the teaching of basic sciences. It analyzes the role of scientific knowledge in students’ professional self- determination, as well as the importance of teaching subjects in both life and professional contexts. Furthermore, the article considers the teacher’s role as a guide in professional self- determination, the opportunities provided by practical activities (laboratory work, project assignments, industrial excursions, and meetings with professionals), and the effectiveness of school-parent collaboration. The article demonstrates that a systematic and comprehensive organization of career choice preparation creates conditions for students to make conscious, correct, and well- founded professional decisions. As a result, students develop into competent specialists capable of consciously choosing their future profession and meeting the demands of society.
