DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNICATIVE ACTIVITY IN PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Annotation. This article addresses the theoretical foundations, types, and methods for applying communicative activity techniques in children with intellectual disabilities, as well as the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in corrective developmental work with preschoolers who have intellectual impairments. It describes the advantages and limitations of various communicative means, and offers practical recommendations for educators, speech-language pathologists, and parents. A review of current research is presented, and the conditions for successful implementation of AAC are analyzed, along with its impact on children’s socialization and speech development.
