Annotation. This article discusses how traditional political and event-based history is gradually being supplemented by new approaches focused on the study of everyday life, local communities, personal experiences and cultural memory. In this context, such areas as everyday history, microhistory, oral history and digital history are particularly important. The use of interdisciplinary and digital methods allows us to understand in a new way the processes of social transformation, modernization and changes in family, work and cultural practices in the history of Kyrgyz society. The history of Kyrgyzstan has been shaped by nomadic civilization, colonial and Soviet policies, as well as post-Soviet transformations, resulting in a fragmented and diverse source base. In the context of the digitalization of modern society, digital history opens up new opportunities for studying, preserving and interpreting the historical heritage of Kyrgyzstan. The use of digital databases allows historians to use quantitative and comparative research methods, to identify trends and patterns that are difficult to identify through traditional analysis of individual documents. As the article states, such databases for studying the history of Kyrgyzstan allow analyzing migration processes, changes in the social structure of society, education levels, employment, and urbanization in different historical periods.
